*Alli & Kane🌟 Power Spurs Past👊 Watford 📹* http://v.duta.us/DUGJxwAA

Dele Alli was on target and Harry Kane narrowed the gap in the Premier League's golden boot race as Tottenham strengthened their grip on a Champions League qualification place with a 2-0 win over Watford.

Spurs went into Monday's game at Wembley just two points ahead of Chelsea, who are on a run of three successive league wins and seeking to keep the pressure on their cross-city rivals in the race for the final spot in Europe's top club competition.

But Tottenham extended that gap to five points with just three games to play thanks to an ultimately routine win against a Watford side still not quite safe from relegation.

A goalkeeping error from Orestis Karnezis enabled Dele Alli to open the scoring 16 minutes in with his fourth goal in five Premier League appearances.

Tottenham have not lost in the top flight this season when opening the scoring and, though captain Hugo Lloris was required to maintain their advantage, Kane gave Watford a mountain to climb with his 48th-minute effort, moving him onto 27 league goals - four behind Liverpool's Mohamed Salah.

Mauricio Pochettino's men were in control from then on, with a seemingly minor injury that forced Mousa Dembele off the only blot on the victory as Watford remain six points above third-bottom Southampton, who have a game in hand.

*Trump Makes World Cup🏆 Appeal to African Countries❗*

President Donald Trump said the United States will be "watching very closely" as he called for African nations and countries around the world to support USA's joint 2026 World Cup bid.

Trump has been vocal amid a bid put together by USA, Canada and Mexico to stage the showpiece tournament in North America in eight years' time.

The controversial U.S. president warned nations not to lobby against the USA in a tweet last week, with Morocco the rival bid ahead of FIFA's announcement in Moscow on June 13.

And Trump appeared to reaffirm that stance as he met with Nigeria president Muhammadu Buhari at the White House on Monday.

"I hope all African countries and countries throughout the world, that we also will be supporting you and that they will likewise support us in our bid, along with Canada and Mexico, for the 2026 World Cup," Trump said.

"We will be watching very closely, and any help they can give us in that bid we would appreciate."

*Max Meyer Suspended🚫 by Schalke Following Bullying Accusation😡*

Max Meyer, who is heading towards free agency this summer, has been suspended by Schalke in the wake of bullying accusations levelled at the club.

The Germany international has been caught in a contract stand-off with the Bundesliga side this season, with the two sides of discussions moving in opposite directions.

Schalke had been hoping to see a highly-rated home-grown talent commit his future to the team by penning an extension.

Amid the battle to resolve his future, the 22-year-old has hit out at Schalke’s sporting director Christian Heidel and his supposed behaviour during talks.

He told Bild: “I was never concerned about the money, otherwise I would have accepted the second improved offer.

“That's why I find it a mess for Clemens Tonnies to say it on TV as if it were all about money. I simply did not want to stay with Schalke and work under Heidel. It's all about this. Lately, it just feels like bullying to me.”

Schalke have now responded to an unsanctioned interview by revealing that Meyer will form no part of their plans for the remainder of the 2017-18 campaign.

*Cazorla Hoping🙏 to Play Again Before Wenger Exits😯*

Santi Cazorla is nearing the end of his injury nightmare and is aiming to play for Arsenal again before Arsene Wenger bids farewell to the club.

The Spain international has endured a hellish 18 months after suffering a succession of setbacks in his recovery from a serious ankle problem.

His last outing for the Gunners came way back in October 2016, with several operations undergone since then as he endeavours to return to competitive action.

He told AS while working on his fitness at Real Oviedo’s training centre: “I've still got some way to go, because after being sidelined for 18 months, everything has to be done in its own time.

“But the sensations I have keep getting better and I'm feeling optimistic about the future.

“The objective is to play some part with the team before the season ends, but we have to take things carefully.”

Cazorla, who is due back in England on Thursday, added: “After being out for so long it will take a while to get back into form, it's a real struggle, but when you have been out like I have, you also notice pains elsewhere - apart from what I've had with my tendon."

*Reports📰: Arsenal & Chelsea Tracking👀 Atalanta's Cristante*

Arsenal and Chelsea are monitoring Atalanta midfielder Bryan Cristante, according to reports.

The 23-year-old has had a superb season in Serie A after Atalanta made his loan from Benfica permanent earlier this year.

It is understood Cristante's representatives met with Premier League clubs in London two weeks ago and the player is keen on a move to England.

But a source has said there is also interest from Italy's top clubs as well as Borussia Dortmund in Germany.

Cristante came through the Milan youth ranks and played for the first team in the Champions League aged 16.

He was snapped up by Benfica for nearly £5m in 2014 but made only six league appearances in Portugal, and spent time back in Italy on loan at Palermo and Pescara.

*Chelsea🔵 Match Man Utd♦ Record with FA Youth Cup Win🎉*

Chelsea have matched a Manchester United record which stood for over 50 years by winning a fifth successive FA Youth Cup, with Arsenal overcome in a two-legged final.

The Busby Babes set the benchmark in the first five FA Youth Cup tournaments from 1953-57, with legendary players such as Sir Bobby Charlton and Duncan Edwards emerging victorious.

A Jody Morris-led Chelsea beat Arsenal 4-0 on Monday, to prevail 7-1 on aggregate, with a strike from Billy Gilmour, Callum Hudson-Odoi with two and Tino Anjorin adding to a commanding first-leg lead. The success represents the biggest winning margin for the Blues during their impressive five-year run.

Chelsea have dominated English youth football for many years and they have played in the last seven Youth Cup finals, losing only once. They were totally dominant in this season's tournament too, boasting an aggregate score of 26-0 prior to reaching the final.
