*Griezmann⚡ Double Secures Europa League🏆 for Atletico⭕ 📹* http://v.duta.us/yWnHcAAA

Antoine Griezmann scored twice as Atletico Madrid won the Europa League with a 3-0 victory over Marseille in Lyon on Wednesday.

The France international has been persistently linked with a move away from the Wanda Metropolitano, with Barcelona reported to be among his biggest admirers.

But if this season is to be his last with the club, Griezmann produced the perfect parting gift at the Groupama Stadium.

A Marseille error opened the door for the forward to put Atleti in front after 21 minutes, before a delightful finish doubled the advantage for Diego Simeone's men early in the second half.

The Ligue 1 outfit had started brightly but had their momentum checked by Griezmann's opener, and an injury to captain Dimitri Payet before the break came as a further blow to their hopes.

Their best chance to pull a goal back came 10 minutes from time, when substitute Kostas Mitroglou headed against the post, but Gabi wrapped up the victory with one minute remaining.

Atleti's win secures a third Europa League triumph, pulling them level with Juventus, Inter and Liverpool behind five-time winners Sevilla on the competition's roll of honour.

*Griezmann⚡ Makes History With Europa League Double❗*

Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann achieved a unique first as the Frenchman downed compatriots Marseille with a Europa League final double.

The former Real Sociedad forward scored in each half to put Atletico Madrid ahead in Lyon on Wednesday.

His first came after a period of sustained Marseille pressure to capitalise on a defensive error, before he doubled the lead after the break.

And in breaking down l'OM's resistance Griezmann broke new ground in European competition.

Griezmann is now the first French player to score two in a Champions League or Europa League final, including the European Cup or UEFA Cup forerunners of each trophy.

With 29 goals in all competitions this season, Griezmann has been vital to Atletico's season as the Colchoneros sit in second place in La Liga.

*Reports📰: Arsenal to Hold Talks with Arteta👔*

Arsenal will hold talks with Mikel Arteta on Thursday about becoming their new manager, according to reports.

Former Gunners midfielder Arteta is the leading candidate to succeed Arsene Wenger and if appointed, he would be handed a transfer budget in the region of £50m this summer.

The Arsenal executives, who are responsible for choosing the new manager, are also understood to be holding talks on Thursday.

They are expected to include chief executive Ivan Gazidis, head of football relations Raul Sanllehi and head of recruitment Sven Mislintat.

Gazidis wants the successful candidate to fulfil a head coach role to fit into the club's new management structure.

Arteta is assistant coach at Manchester City and Pep Guardiola said he will not stand in the 36-year-old's way if he is offered the Arsenal job.

It is understood the Spaniard will be allowed to bring in his own backroom staff.

*Ramos⭐ Ready to Prove Madrid are Kings of Europe👑*

Sergio Ramos says the Champions League final offers Real Madrid another opportunity to prove they are the undisputed "kings of Europe".

Madrid face Liverpool in Kiev on May 26, bidding to win an unprecedented third final in a row, having become the first side to claim back-to-back Champions League titles by beating Juventus in Cardiff last season.

It would also represent a fourth triumph in five years for Los Blancos, who go into the decider as favourites.

"For us, to have a new opportunity to show that we are the kings of Europe is always positive," said captain Ramos.

"It shows that, with hard work, sacrifice, effort and consistency over a long period of time, you can get rewarded and it will allow us to experience moments like this, in which we have the chance to play in another final and familiarise ourselves with what we have been doing over the past few seasons.

"We'll try to repay our fans and bring them happiness by winning the Champions League - winning it for the third year running would be a dream.

"Let's hope we can do it and bring the trophy that we want so badly home and celebrate with our people."

*Payet Suffers Injury🙆 as World Cup Hopes in Doubt🤔*

Dimitri Payet faces the anguish of missing the World Cup finals after being forced out of Wednesday's Europa League decider through injury.

Payet was given the captain's armband for Marseille against Atletico Madrid, and in the opening minutes played through Valere Germain with a lovely pass that was ultimately squandered.

But after Antoine Griezmann struck to give Atletico the lead in the first half Marseille's woes were increased by injury to their skipper.

The former West Ham man, who had been struggling with a thigh injury in the build-up to the final, went down on the half-hour mark in obvious pain.

He was eventually helped to the sidelines with tears in his eyes as Maxime Lopez was brought on to replace him.

With less than a month to go before the World Cup kicks off in Russia, France will share Marseille's pain at losing the playmaker.

Payet will have precious little time to recover if his muscular injury is confirmed as serious, meaning his participation in the upcoming finals is now in grave risk.

He would be the second France player in recent weeks to suffer such a setback against Atletic, after Arsenal's Laurent Koscielny ruptured his Achilles tendon during the Europa League semis.

*Claudio Ranieri👔 to Leave Nantes After One Season😯*

Nantes president Waldemar Kita announced head coach Claudio Ranieri will leave the Ligue 1 club at the end of the season.

Ranieri was only appointed in June on a two-year deal but the Italian is set to depart after just one campaign with Nantes 10th in the table heading into the final match of the season.

The 66-year-old, who guided Leicester City to the Premier League title in 2016, was linked to the vacant Italy post before Roberto Mancini was named coach on Monday.

"We can't hide anything. We had a meeting with the sponsors, he thanked everyone," Kita said.

Nantes were challenging for European qualification until they faded late in the season, with Ranieri's men a point adrift of ninth-placed Montpellier and two clear of Guingamp ahead of Strasbourg's visit on Saturday.

*West Ham🔨 Set to Move for Newcastle Boss Rafael Benitez🙌*

West Ham are planning on making a move for Newcastle United manager Rafa Benitez, according to reports.

The Spaniard almost became Hammers boss in the summer of 2015 before they were gazumped by Real Madrid.

West Ham co-owner David Sullivan remains on good terms with Benitez.

Benitez is believed to have a £6m release clause in his Newcastle contract and wants assurances about his transfer budget before committing his long-term future to the club.

The 58-year-old remains in discussions over a contract extension in the north-east, as his present deal has only 12 months left to run.

Benitez has earned plaudits for guiding the Magpies to an impressive 10th-place finish in the Premier League, capped by a 3-0 romp against Chelsea on the final day.

*Buffon🙌 to Leave Juventus🔳 at the End of the Season*

Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon has announced that he will leave the club at the end of the season.

Saturday's Serie A home clash with Verona will, therefore, be his last for the Turin giants.

He has confirmed that he will take a few weeks to decide his future.

"Over the next three days, full of emotion, I will, after two or three days of reflection, make a definitive decision," he said.

"I'll try to follow whatever calls to my soul and my nature."

He did, however, exclude for playing for another Italian club, even resurgent Parma, who may play top-flight football next term after bankruptcy in 2015.
