When God Begins To Ask Questions About Relationship

When God begins to ask you questions, it is the beginning of a new day in your life, because embedded in it is a flood light that brings the answer!Have you ever sought the face of God for days for direction and then God simply asks you a question and boom! The answer to your prayer is right there!Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness. (Isaiah 55:2 KJV)The first question God asked in the above verse seemed ridiculous, and yet that is what most people are doing!Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread?There are things we know will never work, so why waste time doing such things? Why spend money to buy that which is not edible? You see, we often find ourselves in relationships that are defective, yet we stay there spending our time, energy and resources on whatwill not work.Being in a relationship with a person who has no relationship with God is a waste of time because you don’t have God’s support on such according to His word.So why waste time on such? Why allow oneself to become emotionally attachedwith the one that is not spiritually attached to God.Why date a married man? That is like spending your precious emotions on what you ought not to eat. And if you eat it, it could do you harm!You see, that which is not bread is certainly poison! Why would you spend your money on such?Have some of you been praying to God about certain relationships which you know is not of God? God is asking you a question this morning!The next question God asks is:“…and your labour for that which satisfieth not?”You see, there ought to be dignity in labour but there are some labours that translate into highest order of foolishness. Those are labours God is talking about here! They are labours which rather than bring wages, end up wearying you and wearying every other person around you! You remember the scripture?The labour of the foolish wearieth everyone of them, because he knoweth not how to go to the city. (Ecclesiastes 10:15 KJV)Strange, isn’t it? One person is laboring, everyone is wearied! The head of the home who decides to dance in bed with an adulterous woman is laboring on that which will weary the whole family! One man’s mistake could be the whole family’s agony!Why travel all the way, on the road, risking your life just to go and have Jeru trip with a person you met on social media! That is the labour that satisfieth not!Why spend time with a person just to collect the person’s money, and you were there for months?Then God advises:“…hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.”You see, God issues you a divine invitation. Come and eat that which is good. I pray for you this year, may God grant you the strength to discard and ignore that which is not bread and that which satisfieth not!I pray for you, you will eat that which is good in Jesus name. Your relationship will work out. Your courtship will be beautiful. God will perfect every imperfection! Just respond to God by staying with Him. Study His word regularly and cultivate His presence!
