Once you are a born again child of God, you are more of a Spirit than a physical being. You need to be more conscious of your spiritual state and status than you are of your physical state.

You now belong to the kingdom of God, and that kingdom is a spiritual one. You are to live by the dictates and principles of that kingdom.

The Bible says, in Him we live and move and have our being. Everything that pertains to us as children of God is not physical and should not be handled by the world's standard.

Your relationship is firstly a spiritual issue before it is physical. Using physical principles to operate your relationship will not work.

One of the spiritual principles that should govern your relationship is that discovery of purpose should precede falling in love.

You don’t fall in love with the physical attributes alone, you fall in love with the spiritual structure of a person first before you consider the physical elements.

If purpose is not known, abuse is inevitable. Your purpose is a discovery, not a decision. Your purpose in life and the purpose of the person you want to fall in love with is your first point of consideration.

Why this is important is because, it is only the alignment of your purposes that can give fulfillment in life.

Every other thing or attribute is vanity and will end up in meaninglessness. Whether it is beauty, fame, affluence, skill, talent, nationality or family background, all will and cannot satisfy. Only God, discovery and pursuing purpose can give fulfillment in life.
